Le Grand Morin awarded the Fonds Régional du Tourisme 2024 Trophy
Domaines & événements was awarded the Fonds Régional du Tourisme 2024 Trophy for its exemplary renovation of the Domaine du Grand Morin into a sustainable events venue. Located on a verdant peninsula in the Île-de-France region, this heritage site combines nature, history and ecological innovation. 🌱The project enhances biodiversity, creates local employment and is open to territorial initiatives.

🌟 The entire Domaines & événements team is proud to have been awarded the Fonds Régional du Tourisme 2024 Trophyawarded by the Île-de-France Region. This award recognizes our commitment to sustainable tourism, rooted in the natural and historical heritage of the Paris region.
An exceptional event venue in the heart of nature
Located in Jouy-sur-Morin, the Domaine du Grand Morin - formerly known as Château de Chauffour - extends over 18 hectares of riverside nature, on a wooded peninsula. This 19th-century heritage estate was once the residence of the director of Papeteries du Marais and Sainte-Marie, and is home to one of the first redwoods planted in France.
For the past year, we've been rehabilitating this unique site to host your weddings, seminars, business and private events in a setting that's authentic, sustainable and inspiring.

A project committed to a sustainable future
The Domaine du Grand Morin is a model of eco-responsible rehabilitation, where every choice has been designed to minimize environmental impact while enhancing the existing heritage:
- 🔥 Replacement of oil-fired heating with a latest-generation biomass boiler
- 🏗️ Reuse and conversion of existing buildings, without new construction
- 🌍 845 m² of land reclaimed to restore soil and promote biodiversity
- 💰 €80,000 invested in local biodiversity
- 🚗 Electric recharging stations, acquisition of an electric cart for internal travel
Our partners involved in this transformation: @Erwan Dargere, @Amélie TRUCHET, @EPAME PAYSAGES, @SOFRAT77, @Christophe Verret, @SARL CHEMIN.

A strong local social impact
Over and above environmental concerns, this project is in line with local development and regional solidarity:
- 💼 Job creation in an economic recovery zone
- 👥 Working with local partners: 40% of revenues redistributed
- 🏛️ Opening up the estate to municipal and departmental projects

We warmly thank the Île-de-France region, its President Valérie Pécresse, its Vice-President Alexandra Dublanche, and Hamida Rezeg, Special Delegate for Tourism, for their support.
👏 A special mention to the mayor of Jouy-sur-Morin, Michaël Rousseau, whose commitment has been invaluable since the project's inception.
